Selective Admission

Review the academic requirements, necessary documents, key dates, and costs to apply directly to Universidad del Pacífico through this pathway.

Conditions to Apply

You must meet all of the following requirements set out in the pathway definition:

  • ❖ Be in the final year of high school, International Baccalaureate (IB), post-secondary study programs (French, German, or Italian Baccalaureate), or a graduate from 2024 onward.
  • ❖ Meet the CEC (Competency) requirements in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th years of high school respectively.
  • ❖ Not have been previously withdrawn from UP.
  • ❖ Submit the documents required for enrollment.

Alternative for Non-CAR Schools

You may also consider: 1/3 of grades obtained at AD, 1/3 of grades across all your competencies at B, and no C grades. These conditions must be met in each grade mentioned (3rd, 4th, and 5th). You will only use one alternative for the calculation.

A minimum of 85% of grades obtained rated AD or A. A maximum of 15% at B and no C grades.

Evaluations and Results

Evaluation Criteria

    Academic performance: Evaluated according to the CEC.
  • ❖
    Written Communication: For the February 2027 exam, it will be held in person.

Publication of Results

Results will be published through the Admissions Portal and will only indicate whether the applicant obtained a status of "Selected" or "Not selected."

  • ✓ Applicant's National ID (both sides). Foreigners: valid foreign resident card or passport.
  • ✓
    Original transcript from 1st through 5th year of high school, or Learning Achievement Certificate (CLA) issued by MINEDU (constancia.minedu.gob.pe).
  • ✓ Digital color photo (dark clothing, white background, no glasses or hats).

Formalizing Your Admission

If you obtain "Selected" status, Universidad del Pacífico will only hold your spot if you formalize your admission and complete your enrollment or, where applicable, promptly process the spot-reservation procedure with the Office of Academic Affairs and Undergraduate Records (DAAR), in accordance with current institutional regulations.

    Original transcript from 1st through 5th year of high school, or Learning Achievement Certificate (CLA) issued by MINEDU (constancia.minedu.gob.pe).

Optional Documents

    Original certificate issued by the school confirming completion of the International Baccalaureate diploma program or post-secondary studies. (Graduates should submit the diploma.)
  • +
    International Baccalaureate grade certificate (score ≥ 28 points, with diploma) or post-secondary studies, with a 20-point scale equivalence for course validation. Note: Scores between 24 and 27 with diploma do not allow validation of remedial courses.
  • +
    For students who wish to validate remedial courses in Mathematics or Language (French, German, or Italian post-secondary studies): submit syllabi translated into Spanish along with a 20-point scale equivalence.
  • + English certificate recognized by the University (original and simple copy)*.

* Optional. Check the official list in the Selected Applicant Guide, within the Admissions Portal. If you do not have the certificate at the time of formalization, you may submit it later during your studies to Academic Services and Records (SAR). You may also take the English proficiency exam at UP's Language Center on the dates listed in the Guide.
